Last night my metals class at Craft Alliance was pretty low-key.  We learned how to make jump rings and chain which aren't really that hard, just tedious!

First you make a coil with your wire. Just wrap it tightly around a dowel rod

Then you have to saw.  Have I mentioned I hate sawing? Can't we use an electric saw?!?!

I finished all my jump rings and decided I needed some extra stuff on my bracelet....not just a boring chain.

So I punched out a copper disk and did some stamping.

Then you just link everything together and there you are!

Thank God I still have the iPhone 3Gs because the camera is so bad and the pictures are blurry which saves you from having to look at the horrible copper piece in the middle.

I completely messed up on it because when I stamped my metals I had the copper piece on the wooden bench, NOT a steel block so it got all warped.

Oh well.....lesson learned!

Also, I was lazy and absolutely did NOT colder shut all those jump rings and that's the awful truth.

And here is a quick snap of our teacher Lisa Colby doing a quick demo on fold forming (form folding?) Sheesh, I have the worst short term memory!

And OMG I can't believe that January 2012 is already over! Does anybody else feel like this month was on fast forward?!
