I have a thing about wearing jewelry on the beach.
It's hard to wear a ton of jewelry on the beach without looking like you're trying too hard, but for some reason I can't step out on to the sand with my ears, fingers, neck, and wrists completely bare. I usually go for simple sterling rings, a simple pendant necklace, and some CZ studs. I am PARANOID about losing something in the ocean (or anywhere for that matter) that I love. I have some attachment issues with jewelry (I keep reminding myself, jewelry is just a THING) and can't bear to part with things that I wear on a daily basis. They are like another appendage. Plus, all the sand, sunscreen, and salt at the beach can do a number on your jewelry and by the time you notice the damage, it's too late. Better safe than sorry. Keep those precious pieces in your jewelry box!
Obviously, if you are rich enough to own some of the jewelry featured in this Vogue Spain editorial, then you probably have no problem wearing it out on the beach to be seen and to sparkle.
